I can’t believe a year has passed since we started Primero Sueño Press (PSP)! It’s been a true honor to watch our imprint grow and reach new audiences every day. In April of 2024, we launched the imprint with our first publication, The Shadow Work Journal, a primer on how to reconcile our darkest impulses with our best selves. The title couldn’t have been more appropriate, given that PSP is an homage to Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz’s epic poem on humanity’s search for knowledge and the divine. Sor Juana’s core premise? Before we can know, we need to dream.

 

Our dream was to create an inclusive, vibrant platform for Hispanic and Latine writers and readers, one in which their stories are centered and celebrated around the world. As we’ve acquired titles, our readers and comunidad have blossomed, proving once again that books are bridges that bring us together.

 

We couldn’t be more excited to be growing in the coming year! In 2026, we’ll publish more than 20 Spanish language titles and several English-language romance, horror, and non-fiction books. We’re also excited to publish new works by high-profile authors including John Leguizamo, Reyna Grande, Cynthia Pelayo, Denise Soler Cox, Natalie Caña, and more!
